It’s Friday! Yeah! ๐ ๐ ๐ You survived another stressful week of work and/or school. It’s time to have some fun and de-stress. I had teens and young adults in mind when I thought of these activities, but I think they’d be fun for even “adults.” (I say “adults” because some of us are always kids atย โค๏ธ .)
Fun Friday: 5 Activities to Do to De-stress
(That’s a lot of F’s right there! It wasn’t intentional, but I’m leaving it.)

Chick-fil-A Campout
You are probably thinkingโฆwhat? Ha ha. We had two Chick-fil-A’s open yesterday here in Las Vegas. Lots of people camped out to try and be the first 100 people in line because they received a free Chick-fil-A meal each week for a year! Now, I like sleeping in my bed, so I am probably not the best candidate for this type of fun. ๐ But my son had several of his teenage friends camping out. They probably loved hanging out and talking all night long. (There were parents there. ๐ )

Nature
There is something about getting away from the central part of the city and enjoying the quiet nature. It’s relaxing. Pack a picnic, maybe bring some candles and/or music, and come with great company. Share jokes, laugh, and forget about your problems. They will still be there Monday. ๐ฌย But if you relax some, you will probably be more prepared to cope with your stress/problems.

This is a picture of the cute swing at Mount Charleston Hotel near Las Vegas, NV. When you sit on it, you stare directly at the mountains.

Ice-Skating
Because I live in Las Vegas, NV, where it is typically hot, I am fascinated with ice-skating! There is something about doing an activity that doesn’t seem to fit the city that is enticing. Las Vegas does have an ice-rink (I think we have a couple.). This one is in Summerlin (the western region of Las Vegas). It is super cute.

On my bucket list, I’d like to go ice-skating at the Rink at Rockefeller. This looks amazing. Let me know if you have skated there.

-
Meal Hop
This is where you eat an appetizer at one place, an entree at a different restaurant, and finally a dessert at a third location. You have to have time for this, but it can be a lot of fun. You can pick a theme like Asian food and eat at three different places that serve Asian food. Or you can choose the sites at random. I’ve done this before. It’s a lot of fun. It’s perfect for a date or a big group.

Yoga Trapeze
According to the Journey Junkie, a “yoga trapeze is a swing-like contraption that allows you to hang from it in various ways. It also acts as a tool in many other yoga postures and muscle strengthening techniques.” You may have to be flexible to do this or you will gain flexibility trying it. (Daal, I think you have the flexibility covered.) I wouldn’t try this alone at home! ๐ฌ It looks like a great stretch, core strengthening, and a whole lot of fun! ๐ I haven’t tried this yet, but I’d like to. It would be relaxing and funny (because most of us would be clueless at what we’re doing) going with friends or on a date.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Friday! We will all be ready to work hard again on Monday! Please let me know of any fun activities you have planned or have done! โท๐ด๐ช๐ฃ๐น๐ณ๐ฎโธ

Mylene,
I wish we lived in the same city. I’d be all over trying it!!! Looks like fun. I’d probably make a fool out of myself, but that’s okay.

The yoga trapeze looks like a real challenge! I am both a bit scared and intrigued; I might have to try that one day.

Hi, Samanatha!
It does look like fun, huh! Maybe this is embarrasing to say, but I watched Ben and Lauren (from the Bachelor) try it on their show Happily Ever After. That’s where I got the idea. I also thought that I should try it! I’ll keep you updated if I do. Please do the same! โค๏ธโ

I am not even sure it’s possible to find a group/instructor where I live; I’ve never heard of it before! But if you try it out, do let me know. If I manage to find a class I’ll do the same ๐

I love Chick-Fil-A too! I’ve never heard of anyone camping out for it, but I guess I’ve never been deprived. That’s great they’re in your city now! Yum! All the ideas are great!

Ha ha. I would never camp out either, but I know some teens who did (twins in their senior year of HS). They loved it. ๐

I have skated at Rockefeller Center. The time to go is after they put up the Christmas tree and after dark.It is everything you imagine it to be. The hot chocolate is terrific too! I tried to get on your post today and was given an “oops no longer there” message.

Thanks on Rockefeller Center too. That sounds amazing! I’ll definitely have to try it. I have a sister who lives there. And I love hot chocolate!!!

Also you need to go over to Tavern on the Green for a cocktail during the holidays. The lights are amazing. I would save eating for a better place.

Your #4 reminds me of a Progressive Dinner…going to different homes for each course. It was a lot of fun, especially for whoever got “dessert”.

I’ve been to a progressive dinner before. It’s fun. ๐โ on the dessert. Don’t chat and get to that house first!

Loved your suggestions. And here I thought Vegas was flat. I’ve only been once, for my birthday-You wrote this post on my birthday- to see Criss Angel which was phenomenal, I had front row seats, but alas I was deathly sick for the three days.

Oh I want to do a meal hop so badly. My small group was supposed to put one together, but schedules never made it convenient enough to materialize.
