I had the great opportunity to watch the Jabbawockeez tonight. I loved how they expressed themselves through their bodies with no help from their faces. In their own creative way, they told a story tonight. One of the things I picked up tonight was their spin on Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. This was one of my favorite books growing up. The Jabbawockeez played a line from the song, Pure Imagination:
“There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination
Living there
You’ll be free
If you truly wish to be”
I believe this is one of the reasons I love reading books so much. The author tells you a little and your mind takes you the rest of the way.
Amen! And I think there are a lot of authors that don’t give their audience enough credit for having imaginations that can do that.
